It had been a few years since the Mountain Winery last hosted Gin Blossoms, and the venue has been greatly improved. Gin Blossoms seemed to share their enthusiasm for the improvements with their audience. Despite that, their sound guy still seemed to have serious problems, as the lyrics were drowned out and the band members had issues with their earpieces. Gin Blossoms expressed enthusiasm in presenting their songs and even brought in a "special guest" for a couple of additional numbers. My biggest criticism is the same for too many other performers - perform more numbers if the audience maintains its level of appreciation. If you return due to applause at the end of the show, do one appropriately long encore instead of multiple encores.
